What can a sample tell us about everyone?

Learn about everyone by measuring a few

Inspecting a few parcels costs less than inspecting the entire warehouse.

The population is everyone or everything you care about. A sample is the smaller group you measure. A census measures the whole population. A carefully chosen sample saves time and money; destructive tests make checking every item impossible.
Try it: Switch the reason. Think about what happens to the items you test.
